Pam Doyle

Pam Doyle has often been referred to as a 'wealth of information' in cake decorating circles. This may be because she freely admits to being 'Over 50' and her brain retains a lot of random facts. Or it could also be a combination of being a qualified chef, qualified home economist, a cake decorator with over 35 years’ experience and a strong passion for learning just about anything that interests her. 
In the cake decorating arena she excels at classic techniques, like realistic flowers, piping and fruitcake with marzipan. in addition to being highly knowledgeable in the more modern techniques, including mud cakes of all varieties with ganache, large statement flowers, and 3D carved cakes. She has the advantage of working pre-tools influx so will often have a way of doing things without the need for an exhaustive list of tools. Her home economist training and recipe development experience comes in handy when questions are asked about recipes, ingredients and the elusive 'what did I do wrong'.
She trained as a chef and earned her Certificate in Home Economics at Meadowbank TAFE. She has studied cake decorating and also taught various subjects in the Community College system. Pam’s work experience is varied and has helped form her knowledge base.
She lives in Kurrajong with her husband, Philip. She has two grown daughters, a son and a couple of charming granddaughters.
